The Committee of Ministers of the Agency for the Safety of Air Navigation in Africa and Madagascar (ASECNA), meeting by videoconference on 31 January 2023, in its 71st extraordinary session, proceeded to the election of the new Chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA), in accordance with Article 8 of the Statutes, as the term of office of the outgoing PCA expires on 30 April 2023.
The proceedings, chaired by the current Chairman of the Committee of Ministers, Mr. Oumarou Malam ALMA, Minister of Transport of Niger, led to the election of Mr. Rolland Fidiariseheno RANJATOELINA, Minister of Transport of the Republic of Madagascar, as Chairman of the Board of Directors of ASECNA, effective May 1, 2023, for a three (3) year term, renewable once.
A former manager of Air Madagascar, Mr. Rolland Fidiariseheno RANJATOELINA, is a graduate in economics, and had already held the position of Minister of Transport of the Republic of Madagascar, between 2009 and 2011.
